Wind Mitigation Discounts

Hip Roof – If your roof slants up from all four sides you may qualify for a significant discount.

Hurricane Ties – These are metal straps or clips that connect your roof trusses to the exterior walls.

Hurricane Shutters – Metal Panels installed over all exterior windows. Accordian Shutters and Hurricane Proof Glass may also qualify.

Roof Deck Attachment – This has to do with the size and spacing of the nails used on your roof deck. It usually needs to be determined by a qualified inspector.

Roof Covering – These discounts vary by company, but generally; Tile roofs and FBC (Florida Building Code) equivalent roofs receive discounts.
